Basada en algunos de los poemas medievales, nos revela los conceptos tradicionales de la vida y la muerte en la Edad Media.
Acompañada por la5ª Sinfonía de Beethoven con su inmortal Himno de la Alegría, esta poderosa cantata se ha convertido en la favorita del púbico y en una de las obras musicales clásicas más interpretadas por las orquestas internacionales.
