ORFEÓN DONOSTIARRA CANTA AFRICA es un tributo lleno de vida, a la riqueza y diversidad cultural del continente africano, así como a su legado en el mundo. Compuesta por 19 temas que incorporan cantos autóctonsos, y su evolución, hasta el funky y swing. Esta creación invita al público a embarcarse en un viaje musical que resalta la pluralidad de ritmos, y melodías que conforman las tradiciones sonoras africanas. El compositor trasciende los límites geográficos del África Sudsahariana para explorar cómo, a lo largo de los siglos, las tradiciones musicales africanas se han entrelazado con las culturas del otro lado del Atlántico, influyendo profundamente en sus expresiones musicales.
En ORFEÓN DONOSTIARRA CANTA ÁFRICA la música netamente africana se funde en un abrazo con la música del continente americano.
