Carmela es una mujer que admira a Rocío Jurado. Quiere ser libre, sensual, valiente y comprometida como ella. Quiere ser irreverente, certera y directa como las mujeres de sus canciones. Lo que no sabe, y descubrirá a lo largo de este proceso, es que Rocío Jurado existe en ella. El haber repetido tantas veces sus canciones, sus gestos y su forma de enfrentarse a la música le hará vivir un viaje de acercamiento a su referente. En pleno siglo XXI una mujer joven se redescubre en la más grande. Como si fuera un espejo que refleja lo que quiere ser y lo convierte en su presente.
En las más de dos horas que dura el espectáculo, con música en directo, Rocío Jurado se hace visible en ella. Desde los nervios de una aspirante a un casting, como lo era Rocío cuando llegó a Madrid, hasta la gran estrella en la que se convierte al conseguir la oportunidad de su vida. En un diálogo constante con el público, Carmela transmite sus ilusiones, sus miedos y canta para ser libre con la emoción que solo se consigue a través del arte, a través de las canciones que marcaron a una generación, pero que siguen vivas en la lucha individual de tantas y tantas mujeres
