Un papel destacado tendrá los coros, con los que Verdi dio voz al pueblo y lo hizo protagonista: desde la Marcha Triunfal de Aída, cuando las tropas vuelven victoriosas de la batalla, el coro de los gitanos de Il Trovatore, que cantan su alegría, hasta el Va Pensiero de Nabucco, el canto de los esclavos judíos oprimidos, convertido en símbolo de la Italia unificada bajo los Habsburgo, himno universal de la libertad del pueblo.
El programa incluye también fragmentos y piezas de otros de los grandes títulos de la ópera, como Don Giovanni y La Traviata con su fastuoso brindis.
